I Am Number Four

I Am Number Four
by Pittacus Lore

John Smith, or so he is called in Paradise, Ohio, is not a normal teenager. For one, he is an alien. His home planet Lorien was destroyed, so 18 Loriens travelled to Earth. Two, he is being hunted down by other aliens. There are nine Loriens with power, and nine guardiens. Each team needs to be separated. Each Lorien with powers has a number. As long as all the teams stay separated, the evil aliens can only kill them in number order.

John and his guardien Henri, who pretends to be his father, have never really had problems moving from city to city. But in Paradise, Ohio, John meets Sarah Hart, who soon becomes his girlfriend. He also made a friend named Sam. But Sarah's old boyfriend Mark James, is out to destroy John's life! Oh and one more thing, John is Number Four. He is next. Read the book to find out what happens!

I reccomend this book to anyone who likes sci-fi or adventure. The beginning might seem like it's moving slow, but just wait until you get to the end!

The Fault In Our Stars

The Fault In Our Stars
by John Green

Hazel is not your average sixteen year old girl. She got cancer when she was thirteen. She no longer attends formal school and her mother stays home with her all day, everyday.

Hazel's mother makes her attend a support group for teenagers with cancer. There she meets him: Augustus Waters. After several minutes of staring at each other, Augustus invited Hazel over, and so it began.

This is not a typical cancer struggle love story. The times, good and bad, that Hazel and Gus go through are extraordinary. Read this to go on Hazel's adventure of  Humor, heart-break, and romance.

Divergent

I just finished the book Divergent and its sequel Insurgent by Veronica Roth. The story is about a girl, Tris, who lives in a dystopian Chicago where everyone is divided into 5 factions. The factions are Abnegation, Candor, Amity, Erudite, and Dauntless. When children reach the age of 16, they choose the faction to which they will forever be committed. Forever and Always. The Abnegation are committed to selflessness, the Candor must always be honest, The Amity are peaceful, Erudite are always intelligent, and the Dauntless are never cowards but always brave. At first Tris struggles with what faction she wants to be in: Abnegation where she was born or Dauntless where she thinks could be the best place for her. Once she picks, she realizes that all the factions have their own little secrets...and they aren't what they're cracked up to be...
